myEvolv NX*: Where are Those Checkboxes Series
Payor Settings
– Dani Evans
Remembering where all the important checkboxes are when setting up finance in myEvolv can be overwhelming!
In the 2nd installment of our “Where are Those Checkboxes Series”, we look at setting up Payer settings.
Breadcrumbs: Finance Setup > Payer/Contract/Rates Setup > Payer/Contract/Rates Setup > Payer
1st: Search and Select Payer
2nd: Click or Scroll to Payer Section:
- Allow 0 Dollar Claims and Invoices
-
-
- This is helpful if you use override amounts that start out as $0; you can find the claims that are missing dollar amounts.
- This could also be used to pull J codes for injections if you don’t bill for the drug but require the drug CPT on the claim along with the Injection Service CPT.
-
- Extracts Only Payer
-
- This is usually used for state reporting and other reporting purposes where claims are produced but never sent out.
- Prevent Duplicate Policy Numbers
- Prevents duplicate benefit assignment and alerts of duplicate clients by preventing duplicate policy numbers.
- This setting is very helpful if you have issues with duplicate client records. You will get an alert like you do if there is already a social security number assigned to a client record.
