myEvolv NX*: Where are Those Checkboxes Series
Contract Information
– Dani Evans
Remembering where all the important checkboxes are when setting up finance in myEvolv can be overwhelming!
In this 5th installment of our “Where are Those Checkboxes Series”, we look at setting up Rate Headers.
Breadcrumbs: Finance Setup > Payer/Contract/Rates Setup > Payer/Contract/Rates Setup > Billing Rates (A/R)
- Rate headers can also be accessed under Finance Setup > Payer/Contract/Rates Setup > Payer/Contract/Rates Setup > Contracts Setup
- KEEP IN MIND: Editing Rate Headers affects all of the rates added to services under each plan for the selected Payer
- The highlighted settings are commonly used, however, be sure to review all settings and testing in your development environment to identify other setups that could benefit your agency.
- Don’t forget to hover over the setting options. Netsmart did a great job of adding directions/descriptions to assist you with making decisions on your finance setup. It seems so basic but super easy to ignore.
1st: Search and Select Payer
2nd: Click Actions > Edit this Plan/Contract next to the rate you wish to review/update
E/M Rate

- This will change what the History tab looks like and will require E/M fields on the form attached to the service
- Don’t forget to setup the E/M Rate Header!

Add-On Rate Only
-
- If you check this box, it will not bill by itself and will only bill as an add-on even if it is entered as it’s own service.
